Terms of Service

Last updated: April 8, 2026

By accessing this website or using the Cynda Slack bot (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Cynda is a Slack bot that connects to Google BigQuery and generates SQL queries from natural-language questions using AI. It is currently in beta and provided for early-access testing purposes.

The Service is operated by Cynda ("we", "us", or "our"). Contact: support@cynda.tech.

2. Beta Access

The Service is in beta. Features may change, be removed, or become unavailable without notice. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of results, or fitness for any particular purpose during the beta period.

3. Your Responsibilities

By using Cynda, you agree to:

4. AI-Generated SQL

Cynda uses AI to translate natural-language questions into SQL queries. The generated SQL is provided for convenience and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing any SQL before acting on its results. We are not liable for incorrect, incomplete, or unintended query results.

5. Data Access and Security

When you authorize Cynda via Google OAuth, you grant the Service read access to your BigQuery data solely to execute queries on your behalf. We do not store your BigQuery data. You can revoke access at any time through your Google account settings.

For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and code belonging to Cynda remain our exclusive property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service, including your questions and your BigQuery data.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce accurate results.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cynda shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including any loss of data or business interruption.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
